Sassi Holford 2017 bridal collection exclusive preview with The White Room on Saturday 9th July 2016. To book your appointment to purchase one of these beauties for your wedding day – The White Room is your place to call!
Sassi’s new collection simply is her best yet. The White Room have been representing Sassi since 2013 and we feel like this new collection not only is directional and really fronting the bridal trends of 2016 and beyond but is also pushing the safety net that some of Sassi’s previous collections have sat in. Sassi’s inspiration for this collection, her mother, who sadly passed away at the beginning of the year.
“My mum loved everything different and unusual – she was truly one of a kind. I wanted to reflect her in some way within the collection, so themed it around her favourite flowers and she loved lilies and exotic looking plants and leaves. She was and always will be my biggest creative influence”.
We can see the thought in every gown, from the more classic shapes to the more creative fabrics as well as some technical changes which we really do feel make the gown work so well on the body, making your ease of movement and ability to just love wearing your gown so much more achievable. The new ‘Astrid’ (below) for example has a ‘body-con’ like stretch to the fabric, so no more restriction of movement in a tight fishtail.
Slightly in love with the couture neckline and simplicity of it all, you can’t hide from a bad cut in a plain gown and I think you’ll all agree, this is impeccable!! Add belts, a statement headpiece or a pop of colour in your blooms for a effortless look. We recommend Campbells in Sheffield for the best flowers around!
Looking for something less sexy?! Then let me show you my new favourite in ‘Honor’. Sophistication in abundance and the lace light enough to wear to a summer wedding or take abroad and show off in Italy or beyond. Still with the slimmer skirt, this gown is light, delicate yet so sublime!
Looking for something slightly fuller in the skirt without going for full out circle skirt or tulles? Then Lelia offers that balance of a chiffon A-Line cut combines with a sheer tulle and lace bodice and a flash of tone in the skirt.
For the ladies wishing for the fuller skirts, this collection embodies your needs too! The “Darcy” below has the more lighter feel of a fuller skirt without the structure to the bodice, where are the Blossom, Elizabeth or Madeline will give you the classic look of a fuller gown with the more intricate finish to your gown – Blossom (below, 2nd) has a striking embroidered bodice where as Madeline and Elizabeth are all about the colour and fabrics (blush pink was a popular theme throughout!)
For the bride wishing to go for the more vintage inspired gown, perhaps something for an outdoor event or a more bohemian inspired day, Sienna (below) is a 2 piece which has a slip and an over lay which really allows you to play dress up and mix up the looks from day to night. This image is just beautiful! I want to try!!
Finally, here are some images from the catwalk show at White Gallery where we were introduced to the collection. These will ALL be at The White Room for one weekend only (the 9th July by appointment) and we are hoping to receive them by the 7th as we have requests already!
After the event, we will then be awaiting our samples to arrive and all firther requests to see gowns which we don’t hold will be subject to a loan fee and possible waiting list, so we really do suggest coming to see these and making your choice at the day when we can have them all in one room!
Sassi’s collections are all UK made in Taunton, Somerset and made to order – so we need around 14 weeks to make and then time to fit, but she’s brilliant so if you’re getting married in 3 weeks, this can be done too!
Gowns start from £1850 and a 50% deposit is required on order.
