You are invited to fall in love with Claire Pettibone
The White Room are proud to be hosting a Claire Pettibone ‘trunk show’ featuring gowns from Claire’s new ‘Windsor Rose China’ collection, alongside her current continuing collections too!
Friday 8th March and Saturday 9th March 2013 by appointmentFor one weekend only we will have over 25 gowns including our existing collections which will include Abbey, Waverly, Hazel, Eloquence, Haviland, Kristene and Viola to name just a few!
So, what is a trunk show? Well this is when we get a collection of gowns from a designer we hold our chosen samples of, but this is a time when we get lots more! It would be great to hold every gown by each designer, but logistically, this just isn’t possible, so we host weekends dedicated to one, so we get the best of both worlds! We do it so that brides who LOVE this designer, can see many of their pieces in one place at one time without having to travel or worry that they haven’t seen a gown in person, and can’t commit to one before they do!
Why do we do them? Well it saves brides having to travel far and wide to see the majority of the collections and we love to see what our brides love that perhaps we don’t have and need to invest in for future stock. Most importantly, we are giving you, the bride, choice, so you can see lots of the collection and then chose ‘the one’ for your wedding look.
What do you need to do? We are offering ‘appointment only’ spaces across the whole event, where we dedicate one hour to you to try and chose your gown. To make an appointment, please call 0114 2722336 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Who is it for? Anyone who loves Claire Pettibone and who is wanting to invest in one of her gowns! Should you be unsure or still in the beginning of your search and not looking to buy just yet, do get in touch and we can book you in to browse the collection so you can look at what beautiful pieces Claire creates.
What are the prices? Claire’s gowns start at £1,750 and go up to £4,650 however the majority of her collection is within the £1,800 to £3,000 bracket.
Offers? All brides will receive a White Room indulgence pack worth £150 to indulge all brides to be before their wedding day!
The new collection ‘Windsor Rose China’ features Claire signature sheath dresses with lace overlays featuring antique patterns which are stunningly stylish for the vintage and bohemian bride. With the classic Claire look of embroidered tulle and platinum silks, Guipure lace trims and sheer backs, this collection is wonderfully couture but feel more classic and wearable for today’s bride.
As delightful as the range it-self, it is Claire’s story behind the inspiration for the collection that I think really translates to brides…
Claire Pettibone: “My grandmother was quite the 1920’s bohemian…her first husband was a rum-runner during prohibition, and was mysteriously killed in a “motorcycle” accident. She never talked about him, and I was a grown woman when my mom shared the scandal that my grandpa (her father) was not grandma’s first love. I’ve been thinking about Anna Mae, and looking at the photos of her second wedding that we all thought was her first. She wore a beautiful mauve scalloped silk dress with a velvet sash at the hip, round spectacles and stylish Mary Jane’s. Grandma has long passed, but I have her wedding dress, the intricate embroidered linens she made by hand, her gold rimmed china with delicate painted roses…and a good dose of her free spirit.
The sweet and simple details of our heirlooms: lace linens, golden lockets, fine china, don’t they make lovely inspiration for a wedding dress?”
This to me is special and it shows a genuine love for what she does. She has taken reality (who really does marry their 1st love?!), taken the inspiration behind the reality and created something beautiful for modern, classic and interesting women. Women who love the man they are about to marry but women who when they take that step do so in a gown which has been inspired by those before her and many a love story from others…
Many brides see a designer hiding behind the scenes of their creations, signing off pieces that others have designed and just putting their name to it. This to me shows a genuine love for what Claire designs and that it has all be thought of with a genuine value for marriage, love and couture.
We love Claire Pettibone at The White Room, we hope you will too!
