Cymbeline 2013 – A woman in Paris

The new 2013 collection is now live on their website here. Which Cymbeline bride will you be?

Cymbeline is a great label for brides at The White Room. Their gowns never take themselves too seriously yet blend classic chic with Sex and the City style couture, appealing to fashion forward and modern brides everywhere. The 2012 collections saw polka dot lace take the boutique by storm, with the likes of Fatima and Frisson being adore by brides UK wide. We also did great with the fun gowns, those which were flirty, stylish and had a little ‘edge’ like ‘Fauvette’ & ‘Femme’! Now, the 2013 collections have been selected and showcased on the catwalks and The White Room are proud to say their new take on bridal is exciting, innovative and fun!

The story began “Once upon a time, three sisters named Evelyne, Chantal and Monique, decided to start a revolution in the bridal fashion industry…” As pioneers in bridal fashion and design, they introduced ivory as a new colour which was softer than optical white, they introduced transparent dresses, the first bodices, play on textures and fabrics… Their designs were and continue to be made for the modern, sensual & chic woman.  Fado (below) speaks volumes of a true Cymbeline bride.

So, now a new year brings new inspiration, new ideas and a new collection for White Room brides. The 2013 collection is  filled with lace, a spirit of sophistication and freedom in the full skirts, a little “unconventional chic” with belts and boleros and yet still managing to keep this classy, stylish and modern! We are looking forward to seeing our new pieces (8 in total!) plus a few extras including sparkly belts, fluffy birdcages and accented flowers.

The 2013 collection see’s a season inspired by the lady of Paris. Cymbeline say: “The Parisian lady is known worldwide for her “unconventional chic”. She highlights the basics and makes her daring a major asset.  Everything is about attitude, being in tune with oneself and combining this with a little bit of irreverence”.

Cymbeline have broken down their collections into 4 ‘brides’. Who will you be?

We have the ‘MONTPARNASSE’ bride – she knows so well how to mix cult pieces, borrows from her man’s wardrobe and combines chic and charm.  With a nod to the 1940’s we see waists cinched in by jewelled belts, split skirts, bold laces and fluid crepe gowns. ‘Germaine’ (below) shows Cymbeline’s sleek and chic look, crepes and detailed belts offer a feminine twist to a strong line and less full skirt.

We are also slightly in love with ‘Gatti’ too (below) which we know all the fashion forward brides will love. The floral lace is so girly but the belt detail and sultry cape give her such an edge. The heavier lace really does flatter the cut of this gown too, perfect for many body shapes and sizes!

The ‘SAINT GERMAIN DES PRES’ collection is all about romanticism and softness with a hint of bohemian chic about it. Blending silk organza with eyelet embroidery to create the likes of ‘Gardinia’ and ‘Gigi’ which all the ‘Fauvette’ lovers will be delighted to know, is the new 2013 version of this White Room favourite! This collection combines cotton tulle, cascading ruffles and the couture twist to the softness of the full skirt and layering which is very much on trend for this years brides.

The collection of ‘PLACE DE LA BASTILLE’ is all about the Parisian lady allows herself everything! She is the rocker chic, mixing lace and a couture full skirt with a giant flower, one who loves to change her look from glam rock to elegant in one day! High heels or lace-up boots complete the look of this Parisian lady who takes a humorous mix of genres and never forgets her individuality wins through! We love celebrating each and every brides individuality at The White Room and now interjecting some fuller skirts in to our collections, we know the brides who are wanting more skirt and fullness from their wedding gown will love Cymbeline 2013.

And finally we have the ‘MONTMARTRE’ collection for the bride who LOVES the 1920’s and is dreaming of Great Gatsby inspired gown. This collection is all about fluid silhouettes decorated with lace and pearls, soft and feminine but with a Cymbeline twist. We are loving the new 2013 take on the beautiful ‘Fado’ and also the new great shapes from ‘Giovanni’, with her fluted skirt and delicate fishtail, the shape for 2013!

We will be welcoming this wonderfully rich collection from house Cymbeline from September 2012 and hosting a trunk show where we will show off all the new collection in November with some great offers to all Cymbeline brides (dates to follow). Our new collection will include Gala, Gardenia, Gigi, Gemaine, Galice, Gatti, Gilda & Giovanni. We will also see 2012 Fatima an Fadella move in to 2013 with new names of Galilie & Guirlande of which we will still be championing! These 2 beautiful gowns embody all that Cymbeline champion. Elegance, Style and Fun!
